 Good Shoe, not as comfortable... Apr 11, 2009
I got the marcelle cabrio in cordovan and it does run a little narrower and smaller than the professional series. Also, the color scuffs very easily and needs frequent polishing/touch ups. It is a pretty shoe with a good grip on surfaces just not as comfortable for long periods of wear. I also noticed that it is made in Brazil, all my other danskos are made in Italy. So, I'm not sure if it is an authentic dansko, I bought it from Amazon so I presume it is.

i love this shoe! dansko hasn't let me down yet. i'm on my feet @work all day & my feet never ache @the end of the day.i have back probs & danskos have been a godsend for me. the marcelles are super cute & a little more feminine than the proffesionals. i've gotten lots of compliments as they look great w/jeans, skirts etc.the only problem some may have(as i did at first) is the large seam on inside @the widest part of your foot. it was digging into my left foot, so i cut the pad out of a bandaid & duct taped it over the seam. worked great & after about 2 weeks of wearing, the clog was broken in enough to take it out. sounds crazy, but works!!! didn't want to send them back as some others had because of this problem.

I currently own several pairs of Dansko shoes and love each one. I have clogs, sandals, and even a pair of dress shoes. While I own other cute shoes, I gravitate to my Danskos because they are so comfortable and good to my feet. The Marcelle's have the same solid inner platform as the standard Dansko clogs which are made in that good old world way that makes them last a long time. Danskos are designed to fit the shape of your foot with the built in arch support and the natural curve to your feet. Even from the very first day, your feet will be happy since there is no break in period. Danskos are remarkable! With the Marcelle, I was a smidgen leary about the strap and having to undo it all the time, however, those genius people at Dansko designed this shoe so that your foot slips in and out without ever opening the strap. I also love how this shoe can be worn with jeans, capri's, or skirts, they are so versatile . One thing I would caution fellow buyers about is that this Dansko shoe style tends to be a little larger in size than other Danskos. I had read this in another review some place and found it to be true when my shoe arrived. This was great for me as I am between sizes. So take this into consideration because I think they are a good 1/2 size larger, and I think you will love your shoes as much as I do.

This is another wonderful example of Dansko quality you rarely find in shoes today. They are handmade shoes from the old country and come with their own unique style and charm. In the last 3 or 4 years I have been buying Danskos and now have clogs, sandals, and dress shoes, I have never bought a pair of Danskos I didn't like. These shoes are built to last. My first pair still look almost new. Their solid platform with a built in arch support keeps my feet from hurting. I can wear them all day long, walk the town, clean house, you name it. The Marcelle has the same shoe bed as the standard Dansko clog. The only thing I want to mention, is that when I was ordering my shoe, I had heard the Marcelle tends to be a little larger in shoe size than the other Danskos shoes. When my Marcelle's arrived, I found this to be true, and would say it is about 1 whole size larger. This was not a problem for me, as I am between shoe sizes anyway, but this is something other customers should be aware of when ordering them. I love the standard wide toe box, which is a necessity for me due to arthritic feet. Even with all my lumps and bumps it is very comfortable. As for the style of this shoe, it is just great. I love the strap, even though I confess, it had been a concerned to me before trying them on. I couldn't imagine having to undo and fasten the straps each time I would put these shoes on, but Dansko surprised me. They have situated the strap so that the foot slips in and out of the shoe with ease, no buckling necessary. Genius! I love that I can wear these both casual with jeans or dressed up with a skirt. Now I am wondering why I waited so long to add them to my wardrobe.
