 Great Quality and Comfort ... but .... Jun 29, 2010
My 5-Star rating here is a qualified one. If you want a well-crafted, comfortable slipper that can be used indoors or outdoors, this is a terrific piece of footwear and well worth the high price. My qualification here has to do with arch support. Those with normal arches likely won't have an issue with this slipper. Part of my rationale for buying these, however, were the claims here and elsewhere of arch support. It's practically non-existent. The footbed is removable so those you can insert orthodics, but if folks with arch problems are looking for an out-of-the-box slipper solution, I'm sorry to say that this is not the answer.

 Most comfortable slippers I have ever owned Nov 15, 2009
I have owned my Haflinger Fletcher slippers for almost two years, and they are the most comfortable slippers I have ever owned. I was first reluctant to spend this much money on a pair of slippers, but when I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, I knew I needed to take serious steps to help minimize my heel pain. I bought these slippers to wear around the house, and they have helped to virtually eliminate my heel pain. They have a very thick rubber bottom that minimizes impact, and a removable insert for arch support. Being wool, they are amazingly comfortable in both the summer and winter. (It's hard to believe, but this is true!) The only thing I can say is that they are wide, and this is because they are unisex. I have slightly narrow feet and so they are not very snug. Even so, I still find them to be very comfortable and will definitely replace them with another pair when they finally wear out!
